On December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks refused to obey a bus driver’s order that she give up her seat to make room for a white passenger. Rosa Park’s brave act of defiance became an important symbol of the Civil Rights Movement and the resistance to racial segregation.

My brave moment was when I was about five years old. Me and my family were out skiing. We went on some smaller hills first to get warmed up. After that we tried a few harder places. Then we went to go have lunch. The crisp white snow crunched under my feet. I loved the sound of it, crunch crunch. We opened the door to go inside. I ate a hamburger and some fries. When we were done with our lunch we went back outside. I put back on my skies. My brother wanted to go on a harder slope and I didn't want to get left behind. I took the ski lift up the mountain. When I looked down I could see a lot of tiny little people. It was pretty scary from up so high. Finally we made it to the top. But next came the hardest part. I got ready to ski down. At first I went pretty slow. But after a while I went a lot faster. My brother and sister were waiting for me at the bottom of the hill. In the end it was a lot of fun. We drank some hot chocolate. Then we went home.
My first karate demo at age 6 was the bravest thing that I'd done. I was doing it alone. 300 people were there to watch me perform. I was extremely nervous. Then I remembered my dad's advice and used it. His advice was to take a few deep breathes to calm down. It was very helpful and it calmed me down. I performed at my best. When I was done, everyone stood up and clapped for me. I knew I only had to do my best from now on.
sorry, typo.
What bravery< means to me is putting your life in danger for someone or something. For example, police officers and firemen put ther life in danger for us. Like if someone robs you or someone gets in a fight then the police will take care of it with there braveryIf there is a fire somewhere firemen will risk there life and put out the fire.Like at SE 43 court last year there was a big fire and the firemen had to go there and put it out.we should also be thankful for the brave people in our life.
sorry typo:What bravery means...

OOps!!!sorry about that
Every year I have to get a flu shot. I really hate shots. When the nurse got the shot out & the needle looked like a huge gun, I wanted to pass out so I didn't feel any pain. However, the nurse told me to take a deep breath like I was going under the water at the pool. Then she gave me the shot and it was over, at least until the next year. That's the bravest thing I do every single year.
Once when I was 6 I got my ears peirced. When I was 7 I thought that I wanted to let them close up so I let them close. But every year we put them back in for one day at a Christmas tea we go to. When I was 9 I just put them in forever. I bought tons of earings for my ears. And I don't want to let them close ever agian. And that was the bravest thing I've ever done.
Katie I like your Post. It's cool how you jumped of a roof.
Once, I did a brave thing when I rode my bike for my first time. I got a ton of bruises and rode for over five and a half (5.5) miles. At the start of the bicycle trip (at Sequim Bay State Park), there was a big dip in the road. I fell when I hit a bump at the bottom of the dip. My steering jerked right, launching me left onto my knee! I didn’t stop, but got back up and rode my bicycle for the rest of the trip. This is one brave thing I have done.
My brave moment was when I put a python around my neck. I went to a birthday party. At the party there was a lizard man. The lizard man asked me if I wanted to put a python around my neck. I said," Yes.". He put the snake on me. I almost ran to my dad to get it off.Finnaly, I went home safe and sound.
Bravery means to me to do something that takes courage. I had to be brave when I was asked to be ring bearer for my mom's cousin's wedding. I didn't want to but my mom really wanted me to. I had to hold a girl's hand and walk up the aisle. Later I had to dance with her in front of a lot of people.
the brave thing I did is when I was 5 I got lost in a store. I was so scared I could not find my parents. But after awile of freaking solemnly. I told an adult (the cashier). My parents found me.
When I was 6 I rode my bike for the first time with out training wheels. When I tried I just ended up with hitting a car. I was so scared the next time my dad had to push me so I would move. Eventually
I did and it was so fun. The next day we went on a bike ride.
One brave thing I did at Disneyland was to go on a very scary ride. It is called Screamin California and it is a 360 degree loop. I went in it and could see everything upside down. Every body was screaming but I wasn't. The ride lasted for a long time and at the end I was very dizzy. I was brave enough to go again, with my mom.
One of my brave moments was this year. After my my dad and sister went to India, it was only my mom and I and we were both packing and my mom asked me to get some things I wanted to take to India so I went upstairs to get my DSI and iPad they were both in corners and there was a huge daddy longlegs sitting in that corner. I told my mom about it and we were both freaked out. Then I went forward to the spider, and took some tape off the corner made it stick to the iPad and pulled to my side that was the brave thing I did.
