Meet Mrs. Ness

My name is Danielle Ness. This is my seventh year teaching. I am so thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Sunset Elementary again! I had the opportunity to student teach and sub in the Issaquah School District before teaching at Sunset. Issaquah was my home for eleven years, and and I can't imagine teaching anywhere else. I am very excited to be working with such enthusiastic students, parents, and staff.

I have been married to my husband, Kyle, for six years. Two years ago we moved to Maple Valley with our two cats, Rajah and Tahoe. In our free time, my husband and I love to go boating, wakeboarding, surfing, camping, paddleboarding, snowmobiling, play volleyball, and travel!

This year the students will see my passion for art, photography, and technology! In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among the students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork.

I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and with my colleagues. I believe that great things can happen when we work together! Sunset is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community and part of a winning team.

(You will be making a glog like this to introduce yourself to the class when school starts!)
