National Inventor's Day- Homework

February 11th- National Inventor's Day

In recognition of the great contributions that inventors have made to the world, National Inventors Day is celebrated on February 11. This date was chosen because Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847. Thomas Edison was an American inventor, scientist, and businessman and is known as one of the most prolific inventors of all time. Edison invented more than 1,200 items, including the light bulb and phonograph.

What do you think is the most important invention of all time? Why? (remember to write at least 5 thoughtful sentences)

I think the most important invention was the ''light bulb''. I think it is important because it brightens darkness and helps us see. But a long time ago the used candels but if you triped with one in a house it could cause a fire, but if you had a flash light it would be alot more safer. And if we did'nt have lights on our car we would get in more recks. So just think what a life with out light bulbs would be like. And that is why i wrote about light bulbs

I think that computers are the most important invention. Say you have an email account, it's much easier to contact people like friends or teachers about homework or something like that. Another reason is that you can play games on computers which is VERY important, and you can look up information much quicker about things like plants, animals, or people. Also, computers make saving and writing/typing papers much easier to do. This way, you won't hurt your hands by writing so much, especially when you have big reports to do.

I think a phone is really useful because if you have relatives far away you can call them so you don't have to go over there. If there was a fire and you couldn't get out you could call 911. If you forgot something you could call a friend and ask. What if you're getting robbed you could call the police. That is why i think phones are really useful.

I think the car was because now we can go all over.we can carry letters in them. before cars we had to walk. They are also good for going places.there are lots of cars.

I think the most important invention is the airplane. It changed how we travel and how we fight wars. The airplane lets us go places that a car won’t. The airplane has been used to help us fight wars in places that are hard to get to. Airplanes are also always getting better and safer which means people are still inventing new parts to them. Airplanes let us go other places to learn about the people that we read about in books.

I think a really important invention is the refrigerator. It keeps food cold so it doesn't go bad. If we didn't have a refrigerator we would have to go to the store to buy food a lot more often. We can have leftovers. Also, you can keep ice cubes, ice cream and other frozen foods in the freezer section without them melting. Food keeps a lot longer in the freezer too.

I think a very important invention was the calculator. Calculators are very important because without calculators, if we wanted to know a math fact, it would take a LONG time. Also, since electronic technology runs on 1s and 0s, modern technology might never have started. If you were an engineer, I don't even know what life would be like. Frenchman, Blaise Pascal invented a wooden calculator in 1639. Great idea Pascal!

I think that the best invention is the toilet. The first flushing toilet was made by Thomas Crapper. The death of King George II was from falling off the toilet. I personaly love the toilet because I don't need to dig a ditch every time I use the bathroom. Also the toilet water is cleaned for new drinking water.

I think the most important invention is clock. It is one of the oldest human invention. The first American clock was invented by Benjamin Banneker. It is the most important invention because without clocks we wouldn't know what time it is.If you had to go somewhere early you would get late without clocks. Also if there were no clocks we could not tell if it was day or night.Without clocks life would have been very difficult.

I think that one of the best invention on earth is Legos. The reason why is because you can create many things out of them.

Like:

Buildings and billboards like the one I saw at Legoland, that had a picture of Martin Luther King jr. and said " I have a dream." You can be any age to play with them. It doesn't matter if you are a boy or girl to like them.

I think the coffee machine is an important invention. It keeps up adults (and it makes us kids hyperactive). Without the coffee machine there would be no Starbucks! I love Starbucks! Seattle is a very popular for coffee. And that, is why the coffee machine is very important.

I think the most important invention is electricity. Electricity was created by Thomas Edison. Without him we wouldn't be doing this blog post, or be watching TV, and we also probably be bored all the time unless your an outside kind of person.

I think the most important invention is electricity. Electricity was actually not invented but discovered by some people, most people in the 1700's. Without it we wouldn't have phones, cars, computers, cameras, ipods, light bulbs and so much more. Also we wouldnt have refrigerators, ovens, tablets, watches, tv, and on and on and on. We also might've been living like we were in the lste 1800 hundreds except a little different. That's why I think electricity is the best invention ever!!!

Mia we published ours at almost the exact same time. Oh well:D.

I think the most important invention ever was the aerospace engineering. That made it possible to invent aircraft and spacecraft engines like planes, helicopters, fighter jets, rocket ships, satellites, space shuttles, and even hot air balloons! We wouldn't have been able to travel out of space or to far away places if those did not exist. It has changed the way our world works, and allowed us to travel everywhere. And we have won many wars and helped many countries using aircraft and spacecraft. The most helpful invention ever!

I think that electricity was the most important invention. Without electricity we wouldn't be able to watch tv or anything that we use in modern days. I remember having a blackout that lasted for five days.It changes your ways of life. That's why I think electricity is the most important invention.

I think that the most important invention ever was clothes.I think that because without them we would be walking around naked! Also, because on cold winter days we'd all freeze to death! Another reason is because for people who make large sums of money from selling clothes would all be POOF gone. And without it what would Santa wear on Christmas?🎅🎅 That's why I think clothes are the most important invention ever.

I think the most important invention was water purification. one way to purify water is through reverse osmosis. reverse osmosis involves forcing water through various membranes to filter out harmful bacteria and impurities. without water purification we would all suffer from a disease called dysentery and other water born illnesses. we should all be thankful for the creators of water purification. Bravo!
